Congratulations Paul and Michelle on the Birth of your son and little brother to Tiffany. Luke and Natasha you are now an Aunty and Uncle and Grandma Dianne and Grandad Brian.

You will have noticed the site is now on a different name.   This is because we have had to move the site to a new host, the old one was about to shut the server down.  Unfortunately, in moving, we have had to change the domain name, as the details for the old one were lost. 

But I hope you'll agree, the new hosting is much faster than the old. We also have much more space for pictures than on the old site!

*** Note: Due to the move, your passwords for logging in have been locked out, what you need to do is follow the forgotten password link in the login panel.  Enter the e-mail address you registered with and then you should get an e-mail  this will allow you to reset your password and therefore be able to log in again.  I am really sorry about the inconvenience, we had to move it. ****

Today, there have been several new features added to the site.  These are;

Forgotten Password / Password reset feature. (See the earlier news item for details)

Photo galleries - Events can now have photos attached.  So check out the events and you'll see if there are pictures attached (see Brid 2005 in Past Competitions).

Notes - Sometimes you'll see notes attached to events, these let Glynis add information for events, such as how much you raised etc.

Update

I have now enabled a password reset.  If you have been struggling with login, please follow these instructions;

 - In the Login Panel (to the right) click.. Forgotten Password.

- It will ask you to enter your e-mail address.  This is the one you registered on the site with.

- When you enter it, it will send an e-mail to that address. 

- If you have multiple user names registered, it will list them all in the e-mail.

- Click on the link (you may need to copy it into your internet window if it doesn't allow to you to click it) and it will take you to a screen asking you to enter your password and confirm it.

- When you have done this, it will have reset your password.

- Try and login again.

I'm sorry that registering on the site is a bit more complicated.  But it's to make sure we have valid contact e-mails for users (because some people abuse login systems and cuase us problems)

I have tried this and it does work.  

There is a passwords update posted in the Information forum.  Please check.

It seems that some of you are having issues logging in.  I did send an e-mail the other week, hopefully so those of you who had usernames could log back in again.  If you have a hotmail or AOL account, please try logging in using your username and password, if you are having problems you might want to check your junk mail.

If you are really stuck, I recommend you try and register a new username.  The first week in march, I'll remove all accounts not logged back into.

The first part of the events system has been added.  Hopefully this will make it easy for you all to see what events are coming up, and view information on them.  There are to be more features added, but not until early march now.  Have a look around the forums and see what you think.

I have today e-mailed all users who hadn't already logged back into the site their user details, asking you to confirm them, and update your account.  If you know you were registered, but think that the e-mail address you used is no longer active, then feel free to re-register.

All users who have not updated their accounts by March 1st will have those accounts permanently deleted.

All users who have not been yet able to login because they couldn't remember their usernames or passwords should receive an e-mail giving you a link to reset your password.  Unfortunately I am not able to verify who has or hasn't received an e-mail due to technical issues.

Later today I will be getting the registration up and working for new users and then will be moving on to the features.  Once you have an account, you can then login and leave messages in the forums.  I do hope you like using them.  When the site is back up and running properly, we will open up more forums for you, so you have places to discuss things.

I really am very sorry for the delay in this, I didn't want to take your site away for quite so long.  I hope you think the new site is definitely worth the wait though.
